Murder Corporation is not the luckiest band in the world. The contact with their record label Regain Records are more or less non- existent and there is not much promotion for their activities. But Murder Corporation has managed to get a very good reputation in the Death Metal scene. Mostly due to the legendary "Blood Revolution 2050" MCD on Qabalah/Repulse Records. We contacted a slightly bemused Johan Axelsson for the latest news.



1. Please give us the story behind Murder Corporation. Please give us a biography with demos etc.

Murder Corporation has been around since `95 soon after the formation of the band, we get a deal from the Spanish label Qabalah Prod. for one mini CD as we hocked on with, we start to record every songs that we had for the moment to that mini CD so that was the start of Murder Corporation so to say..

2. Murder Corporation consists of all the Deranged members. When does Deranged becomes Murder Corporation ?

You see Deranged didn't become Murder Corporation, in the beginning there was 3/4 of Deranged Rikard (drums), Johan (guitar), Dan (bas), and Jens (vocals) Ex Mega Slaughter (vocalist). Jens handle the vocals for us on the two first mini CD "Blood Revolution 2050". and on our second one "Kill" Than he moved back to Gothenburg and we have to find another singer as we did quit fast and the new singer is Johan Anderberg also singer in Deranged nowadays !!

3. Please tell us more about the "Blood Revolution 2050" CD on Qabalah/Repulse Records.

Well !! It was the first from Murder Corporation and I guess that I'm happy that Qabalah rec. released it as mini-CD that's better that a label release it than if you do it your self you know.

4. This album was very Morbid Angel influenced in my view. What is your opinion about this album now ???

Morbid Angel influenced. That something new.. As I said earlier that was our first recording with Murder Corporation so I'm quite satisfied with it. You se the recording was a real low budget, I think that we was in the studio for a weekend or so I don't remember. Anyway it was recorded in a small 16 tracks studio. I guess that's all I can say..

5. Why did you leave Qabalah/Repulse Records ?

We actually didn't leave Qabalah Prod. The deal was only for that mini CD and nothing more. and when you are a new band you have to spread your name as much as you can so we recorded our second mini CD "Kill" that was released by Planet End a sub label to Regain rec. That was our first contact between Murder Corporation and Regain rec.

6. Please tell us more about the "Retract the Hostile" '7 on Stormbringer Productions.

Yeah!! That 7" single was the first release with our new vocalist Johan Anderberg but not our first recording you see we have recorded a full length CD too at least one year earlier. so I think it was in Oct 97 or something where Johan Anderberg grab the microphone after Jens.
Anyway!! That was the fist 7" single with Murder Corporation but not the first 7" single that we have record we will soon have a split 7" single out with Vomitory. And I guess that we also soon will have our second 7" single out quite soon.

7. Why did you sign on Regain Records ?

Good Question!! You see the full length CD was recorded in 97 and are still not released so I don't know what that label are doing if you know what I mean.
Well !! After our second mini CD "Kill" was released we start looking for a label that would release our first full length CD so we went in to the studio and recorded our first 4 songs demo tape that we send to Regain rec. and they show there interest so we think that's cool, but as you can understand it wasn't. The only thing that I know is that I have seen a flyer that say that the CD will bee out August this year and we still wait.

8. Your brand new album "Murder Corporation" should now be available in the shops and through the major mail-order distributors. Please tell us more about this album. For example the recording, the writing process and the featured tracks.

Yeah!! But it isn't, Ha Ha. If you find it please give me a mail.
Three weeks after they have got the demo we enter the studio again this time for the full length CD the recording went out pretty god the whole recording with mix and every thing was finish after five days. What I can say is that the whole CD was just a waste of time and nothing more nowadays the CD feels old for us, you see the new material is allot fast and more aggressive and brutal than the previous stuff. Maybe our second CD will bee out before this one.

9. How would you compare the new album with your earlier stuff ?

New Ha Ha. It's quite like the first and the second mini-CD in my opinion, when it comes to song writing and all that stuff you know. I can tell that we took some tracks from the first and second mini-CD and re-record for the full length CD. The only differences I can tell is that the sound is allot better on the full length CD that the previous stuff.

10. When it comes to choice of record labels; it seems like Murder Corporation follows in Deranged footsteps. Why did not Murder Corporation sign on Listenable Records for the new album ??

Yeah!! But I hope you understand why after reading this !!
I think that we have learn a lesson when it comes to label now days, so we actually do want to bee on the same label with booth of the band. and one other reason is that Listenable rec just whana sign Deranged and not Murder Corporation.

11. What is the future plans of Murder Corporation ???

We are looking fore a label right now actually. And the only thing I can say so far is that we have some label that have shown there interest so we will see what's happens. And when it comes to gigs we play everywhere so just mail us you have plans to set up a tour with Murder Corporation.

What I know is that you can find us right here?? And that we have some homepage that soon will ready. In otherwise you can keep your eyes open if we come around your town for some gigs. That's all I can say.
