Dawn Of Sadness and Path Of Experience are probably unknown to most of you. But these two labels have existed for a long time. We caught up with them for a presentation of their activities.

1. Please give us a brief history of Dawn Of Sadness and Path Of Experiences. Please also give us brief biographies of the persons involved.

Dawn of Sadness and Path Of Experiences are two labels which promote and produce metal acts with kind of differences. Dawn Of Sadness is an extreme metal label which promote and produce Death, Black, Doom and Gothic/Dark metal bands. This label has produced the following bands:

Path Of Experiences is almost a 360° metal label which promote and produce Thrash, Rock, Crossover, Metal band. This label has produced the following bands:

DAWN OF SADNESS and PATH OF EXPERIENCES are over 10 years in the underground scene. During their label activities, these labels put out over 15 releases.
Actually these labels are lead by the followings:

Alex is the label manager, webmaster, promoters and art director of the both labels.
Anna is the label manager of the Path Of Experiences responsible of the public relations for both labels.

2. When it comes to the label name(s). What is the difference between Dawn Of Sadness and Path Of Experiences. Why did you choose those names ?

DAWN OF SADNESS - PATH OF EXPERIENCES are two ObscurE and ExtremE Labels and EmotionS since 1993. These labels spreaded and spread EXTREME MUSIC AND CULTURE! The difference of this labels is that DAwn Of Sadness is a TOTALLY extreme metal label and Path Of Experiences is a 360° metal label. The names are the essential of the work of this labels.

3. Please give us a list of your releases. Please present these releases for us.

Dawn Of Sadness / Path Of Experiences, except the record label and mailorder and the distro activities is also a TRUE and OBSCURE supporter of ALL the musicians/bands to spread their metal veins! SERIOUSLY!

5. Please tell us more about Sassari and the part of Italy where Dawn Of Sadness and Path Of Experiences is based.

Sassari is a small city. In our city the metal circuit is very small. Sassari is in Sardinia, the best Italian island. A great land for the Summer holidays ...full of turist. But in the rest of the year, this land is almost unpopulated !

6. There is a general, stereotype impression that Italy is run by the Catholic Church and the mafia/organized crime. What is the truth ??

I'm off about any kind of religion, political mass. I HATE the Mafia and all the activities over the law! I think that all the human activities are wonderful if within the bounds of the law! Satanist? Catholical? Labourist? Democratic? I've any kind of problem... but if these people work within the law and without offense the rest of the world! However, the mafia is the great, false, bloody activity! The Italian institutions is almost to defeat!

7. What is the advantages and disadvantages being based in Italy ?

Italy land is a peninsula trim in three parts: North, Center and Sud/Islands. In the north of Italy is very easy to arrive in the other Europe states, so, in this part isn't any kind of problem. Also in the centre isn't a lot of problem... but in the Sud/Islands is a very true hard lands for the metal and for the other problems in general. More, intense, hard to work in this parts of Italy... and also in Sardinia....!

8. How do you market and promote your releases and activities ??

After and during our hard work we make a good network promotion / distribution around, the world thanx a honest people without false attitude.

9. What is your view on past and present Italian metal labels and the metal scene in Italy ?

Finally in Italy is present a good extreme scene. Our prefer labels are all the activities which produce and promote the Italian music and culture, as Beyond prod. (Drastic is my little cult band!), Avantgarde, Coffin prod. and a lot of more. ....Apart Dawn Of Sadness and Path Of Experiences... ehehehe Hell!!!

10. How is the distribution of underground metal in Italy these days ??

Here in Italy the underground metal is in a good level. Great bands, labels and distros...

11. Do you have any plans starting a shop-distribution service in Italy yourself ?

No at the moment. Now our principal plans are to promote and produce at its best our bands and products.... For now, we entrust the shop-distribution service to other distributors and shops, which done for us this service, so also in this way we sell-promote our products... But we entrust our products and activities only to SERIOUS and distributors and shops.....

12. What is your view on the MP 3 revolution ? Do you regard this as a threat to your livelihood ?

The MP3 standard is a great revolution, which is also Internet! Finally the independent labels with small budget have the opportunity to make know their releases and activities to more metal listeners than in the past, with a small budget. GREAT!

13. Do you have any other fear about the future of the music industry ?

All the music business is for majors. But in this period the independent labels are working seriously Defeat the majors! Independent labels Rules!!!

We'll continue our work in the same way to promote and produce ONLY true bands, without any attitudes and trendy....... I think that'll be not any change in our way to work and our thinking.....

After "Mother" a legendary summa of poetic dark veins, the cult band VLADIMIR put out an another masterpiece of romantic obscurity in a sinfonic melodia with femal vocals, strings and harps. ...and finally you'll dream!!
NEVER ENDING BEAUTY "New" - format: Cd maxi single(Mcd) - n° cat.:DOSCD14 Release date: 30/03/2000
Ethereal, classic and dark atmospheres together with the impact of metal. The music proposed has no boundless, as some of the music elements are not common in this musical style. At the moment the band is working on the new material and the new songs will be more and more experimental! Never Ending Beauty is now on Dawn Of Sadness recs and the new work will be out in the 2000's winter.
