Cannibal Corpse "Live Cannibalism" CD (Metal Blade)

From the day I heard about this album early in the summer of year 2000, I had been eagerly awaiting this album. I love live albums (yes, I know I am a sad wanker) and the best of Cannibal Corpse - Live could only mean paradise. I was not let down. I have a big smile after some hours of listening to this album. Like it or not: Cannibal Corpse is the standard bearer of Death Metal. OK, other bands has released better albums than Cannibal Corpse, but no bands has over a long period (ten years) done Death Metal better than Cannibal Corpse. No bands have toured harder than Cannibal Corpse, doing no-compromise Death Metal. In these days of plenty for all Death Metal fans, we should not forget that Cannibal Corpse kept the Death Metal scene alive during the darkest years of let's-jump-on-the-Black-Metal wagon. Cannibal Corpse cannot get enough praise and respect, in my view.
On this live album, we get eighteen tracks from all their albums. All of the tracks are very good. We can argue for several years about which tracks should and should not be included on a Cannibal Corpse live album. But instead of arguing, just make yourself a drink with bourbon or scotch and enjoy this live album. It has everything you want. The sound and the tracks are very good. The live album close with the brilliant "Hammer Smashed Face". What more do a Death Metal head want ?? (hey, where is my dinner ??)
